Yep. Just like the title says, thanks to the efforts of #Quakebook Agent Provocateur Tim Burland, The Book Depository in London is stocking the hardback of the English language version of 2:46 Aftershocks – Stories from the Japan Earthquake.

The beauty of it is, they will send the book free to anywhere in the world. At under $13 a copy, I think we have a winner.

Sign up and order your copy right here.

Will they be donating any profits toward the Japanese Red Cross? How does this compare to Amazon.com?

Yes. If you buy the paperback from Amazon every last penny goes to the Red Cross. If you buy the hardback, there are printing and distribution costs. All profits, royalties, though go to the Red Cross from the hardback. I’m not sure of the exact breakdown, I’ll find out and report back.

But if you want more cash to go to the Red Cross, buy the Amazon paperback. If you are allergic to Amazon or desperately want the hardback, buy that.

The thinking was we wanted to get a hardback available to people and bookshops that outside of the Amazon sphere.
